Tane is a free, no-signup daily ritual. The short version:

your data stays yours

Your garden and soil live in your browser (localStorage), not on a server. No account, no email. Move them between devices with the garden code in settings. Clearing your browser clears them.

analytics

Anonymous, consent-gated usage only (you choose on first visit). No personal data, never sold. You can decline and Tane works the same.

music & artists

Tracks and previews come from Audius. We never charge artists or venues. Links out (to hear the full song) may be affiliate, but the core stays free.

covers you make & search

A cover is a deterministic image generated from the song's name — it uses none of the music's audio. Showing artist and track names is factual reference. How you use a cover you make is your responsibility. 'Search' results also come from Audius, and TANE adds no engagement ranking.

about money (voluntary support)

TANE is free. If money is ever received, it is a voluntary donation, not a purchase — nothing is owed in return, so there is no concept of a refund (it isn't a sale). If we ever sell a physical thing (a cassette, etc.), we'll post the proper sales disclosures separately, as a sale.

no warranty

Provided as-is, as an act of love, not a product. Use at your own discretion.
